5 Top Current Women in the Game You Should Know

Even though there are a ton of women out there who are killin’ it, we couldn‘t name them all!

Especially with the World Cup coming up, here are our five shoutouts to some of the top players that you should definitely know (and look up to):

Pernille Harder.

26. Forward.

Shining in both her club team and representing Denmark this past year, Harder notched two goals in the German Cup semi-final for Wolfsburg and slotted two away (one being a nice lofted shot) against Slavia Prague in the quarter-final.

As one of the most complete women’s footballers in the world, she topped the league‘s charts as one of the leading goal-scorers.

32. Forward.

Former FIFA Player of the Year, the Brazilian superstar plays for the Orlando Pride and not only has a long-listed number of accomplishments, she recently was a part of the Brazil’s Copa América Femenina winning team, putting one in against World Cup runners-up Japan.

We will never get tired of watching heramazing skill.

Lucy Bronze.

27. Defender.

From Manchester City to Lyon, Bronze represents defenders everywhere as she makes her mark conquering the French title and playing in a Champions League final in the starting 11.

The Brit has a reputation for slipping goals in up the line—or slamming them in—especially with the volley that was nominated for UEFA‘s Goal-of-the-Year award.

Alex Morgan.

29. Forward.

Little girls know her name everywhere. Racking up 18 goals for the USA in the last 20 games, including the hat-trick against Japan, Morgan catches the rays and tries to beat the heat in her club in Florida, the Orlando Pride.

Amandine Henry.

29. Midfielder.

Another one of French‘s greats will be tested in the World Cup this year playing host. The best compliments a midfielder can receive are to play with class and talent, which Henry does. However, saving her country in the Euros with a smack of a second-half header against Austria.
